Salvaged Material Library sourced materials from two locations: under the 83 overpass at Ash st. and Clipper Mill Rd., and a dumpster at the Clipper Mill industrial lot in Baltimore. Materials including various types of natural and manufactured woods, cabinetry, laminate, corian, drywall, and plexiglass, were cut down and standardized to 8-1/2” x 11”. They were arranged on a bookcase based on the locations where they were collected, and keeping together similar materials. The library was then used as a resource to redesign visual representations of the two locations.
